Description
A highly desirable pair of mid to late 20th Century, solid Beech, carver dining chairs. Their striking, stick-back, tub chair shape has a definite Scandinavian feel to its design. No makers mark to them but beautifully crafted with attention to ergonomic detailing; the seat is gently shaped for comfort and the cylindrical horizontal backrest bar has been lightly flattened where the spine rests. The chairs are sturdy and in good vintage condition, the seat shows some scratches and grazes as you would expect for its age and history.
We think that these chairs would look fabulous in a wide range of settings, they combine the clean, simplicity of mid-century, Scandinavian design with the warmth and homeliness of vintage beech wood.
The chairs are sturdy and in good structural condition. Some marks, bumps and scratches to the wood, as should be expected for their age and history. Please see images for details.
