A fabulous set of mid-century folding chairs with rattan backs and seats set within a dark wood, ebonised frame. These are both aesthetically pleasing and practical. They would work well in a contemporary kitchen diner or a Boho-style setting and, although we don’t recommend leaving them continuously exposed to the elements, they are great for alfresco dining.
Why buy me? Good looking with a trim, space-efficient figure! What’s not to love? I am perfect as a set of guest chairs, see how neatly I fold away when not required. That being said, I am also comfortable and stable enough to keep out permanently.
These are in good, smart-looking condition for their age. The rattan seat support on one of the chairs has been strengthened with wire as it had sagged too much to provide support. This is only visible from underneath or when the chair is folded. Both the wood and the rattan are in good condition and the folding mechanism of each chair works well. As with any vintage, pre-loved piece, some scuffs and bruises are to be expected.
