Description
A set of six superbly sculpted Danish teak dining chairs comprising of 4 standard chairs and 2 carvers. Known as “Ingrid” chairs these were designed by Niels Koefoed for Hornslet Mobelfabrik, Denmark 1968, they have had one careful owner and are presented in first-class class ready-to-place condition. The chairs are both comfortable and elegantly detailed, especially the two armchairs, whose delicate carved and curved arms are connected to the lower rail with wonderful joinery.
We rather like the lighter, easier-on-the-eye tone of these compared to the rosewood versions. They work so well in a more modern home or commercial space – without doubt a lovely pleasing design.
We have lightly oiled the frames ensuring that the teak grain is cleaned and highlighted – so expect the odd mark or two but nothing nasty. The seats have been freshly upholstered in a beautiful, high-quality, woven oatmeal flecked wool fabric. We are happy to provide a fabric swatch if you wish to check the suitability of the colour within your interior. The foam has also been replaced to ensure that the chairs meet current fire regulations. All the chairs are stamped underneath the seat.
