Description
A very stylish mid-century teak desk by Carson’s Office Furniture of the UK. It dates from around the mid to late 1960’s and is in well-loved, characterful condition. We have cleaned and gently restored the desktop, leaving some of the previous owner’s tales behind – namely a deep, scored circle of frustration (tricky maths question perhaps, or troubled ponderings?)
It is presented in a beautifully aged colour and patina with a really nice-sized work surface for home use. The drawers run freely and there is a pull-out shelf directly above the drawers, this contains the original plastic stationery tray with makers mark stamped on it. There are a few minor veneer ‘nibbles’ to the bottom side panels and the edges of the desktop. Please see the photographs for size and condition.
A super-looking desk, structurally sound and very useable for regular working but not too deep for most people to be able to accommodate. It is very Scandinavian mid Century in its design and colour.
